The second Northern Club Day and Scottish AutoSolo Driving Tests will take place, by courtesy of the Melville Motor Club, followed by a film show and our annual Club Dinner at the Craigielaw Country Club and Golf Course.
There will be two classes in the Auto-Solo Driving Tests – for long wheel based cars (8ft and over) and short wheel based cars (under 8ft). The two classes will have different driving tests – to accommodate longer and shorter cars - and there is a trophy and standard VSCC Awards in each class. This year, we have all the track and paddock so the two classes will be run concurrently and special care has been taken to design tests to accommodate the long wheel based cars.
The timetable for the event is as follows:
At East Fortune Race Track, Haddington, EH39 5JZ:
10.00hrs - Signing On, Scrutineering and Noise Testing
12.00hrs - Auto-Solo Driving Tests
16.00hrs - Results and announcement of winners
At Craigielaw Country Club & Golf Course, Aberlady, EH32 0PY
17.00 hrs – Film Show of films from the VSCC Library
19.00 hrs for 19.30 hrs – Annual Club Dinner followed by Martin Shelley, as Guest of Honour, to talk about his restoration of the 1908 TT Thorneycroft.
