Derry entered an apprenticeship at his local Ford dealership and eventually became involved in sales of Mercedes-Benz and Peugeot. His passion for motor sport was only partly satisfied by regular visits to Silverstone, Goodwood and Prescott during the 50's and later. Ownership of a six-cylinder Triumph Gloria provided a taste of the performance he was seeking and whetted his continued appetite for the marque. The Triumph special he now drives is his dream of the perfect Dolomite special.
Derry's encyclopedic knowledge of Vintage cars is the ideal attribute for his position as a photo archivist.
